Water Weight

It's been a busy summer in Currituck County and the Outer Banks. We were fortunate that Tropical Storm Hanna did not do much damage. Some ditches were flooded near our home which apparently provides an excellent medium for skim boarding (so my teen-age son says).
Fall is rapidly approaching as evidenced by some much cooler temperatures in our NE corner of North Carolina. Continue to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated but remember that nearly every food provides some form of water to the body. So it is not necessary to actually "drink" eight cups of water a day.
Did you know that the weight a person loses directly after intense physical activity is weight from water, not fat?
